Requests: Expand on: "You'll need to be a member of the dialout group in order to use the serial ports. If you're not a member already (use id to check), add yourself."

I had a heck of a time geting mincom to work, well first I got a permission denied so I had to su to get it work, then if I typed minicom -s /dev/ttyUSB0, I get a config file not found error and can't get mincom to work. I previously setup the connection so if I just type minicom, it works JoeBorn 9/17/06

Derobert, thanks for outlining this information. If I am not mistaken, in the minicom setup info, would it be useful to mention that you'll also want to use ANSI terminal emulation instead of VT102? johntynan 1/3/06
